According to the Center for Science in the Public Interest, leading pediatric allergists have testified to the safety of the MMR vaccine and the thimerosal containing flu vaccine. These pediatric allergists have also testified to the safety of MSG (which is used as a preservative not only in foods, but also in vaccines) as well as a genetically engineered milk protein, bovine lactoferrin, introduced in 2001 that is also used as a binding agent in vaccines and processed foods, as well as an antimicrobial agent to spray down raw beef carcasses.
If, as these doctors claim, these vaccines and milk proteins are “generally recognized as safe”, then why has a rider been added to the Homeland Security Act to shield the pharmaceutical industry and vaccine developers from liability?
According to Congress, a provision to the Homeland Security Act was added just prior to passage that shields the pharmaceutical industry from billions of dollars of anticipated lawsuits over vaccines, removing liability for any injuries that may result from vaccines they manufacture.
The provision was added so late that most members of Congress were not even aware that it had been added to the 470-plus page bill. And it was so similar to a defeated vaccine bill from 2002 that an aide even commented that the provision was actually in a different font than the rest of the Homeland Security Act, as if someone had cut and pasted it into the new bill.
Despite concerns over vaccines’ toxicity, allergenic risks and the 100,000,000 DNA fragments that each vaccine is allowed to contain, the FDA lacks funding and does not conduct independent tests to assess the safety of these vaccines, relying on industry-funded research conducted by the pharmaceutical companies themselves.
According to the Washington Post, Maryland’s Attorney General is now mandating that parents vaccinate their children or else they will be fined and put in jail. Do we no longer have a right to choose?
As industry-funded experts try to blame the mothers, perhaps it’s time that the mothers blame the money.

This is a great post, thank you! Allergies and anaphylaxis are a misfiring of our immune systems. What has the most effect on immune systems? Vaccines – given sometimes from birth and numerous times throughout infancy and childhood. After a lot of research I now believe the preservatives used in the immunizations are the number one reason we have all the health and especially neurological problems in our children today. The reactions to the vaccines, and the poisins in them are also the real culprit behind SIDS, and colic. Now the switch to cadmium instead of mercury instead causes liver damage, which affects the digestion, etc. These babies suffer from green stools, trouble eating, and hours of crying in pain. The truth about vaccines is shocking. We don’t really need them, and they are not the reason for the drop in disease when they were first introduced to the U.S. The facts prove that many diseases were on the decline shortly before their introduction, possibly due to the introduction of the icebox, and more variety in the diet of the american people. The rate of decline in diseases occured in other countries as well, where there was not an intro into immunizations. Mothers, research. You have to protect your children. Regarding vaccines, I’ve been wondering why the pharmaceutical companies decided to use eggs to manufacture flu vaccines for infants. Pediatricians often advise us not to introduce eggs to infants because they can create allergies. Then why would anyone think of injecting a baby with an egg-based vaccine just to avoid catching the flu?

I think you’re right to be concerned about the gross over-use of potentially dangerous vaccines on our children. Injecting foreign protein and DNA fragments can’t be good in regards to allergies. Not to mention the aluminum hydroxide, MSG, formaldehyde, and in some cases (flu vaccines) methyl mercury (thimerosal) which are likely to be detrimental for health in general. Add to these poisons, the over-use of antibiotics that compromise digestive health, and all the questionable additives, preservatives, pesticides, and GMO ingredients in most processed/packaged foods and you have a recipe for health disaster on a grand scale.

Also, if any of you Rh-Neg Mommies out there have been “RhoGAMMED” during and/or after you had a baby, keep in mind that this so-called “necessary” injection is also a cause of big time allergies for you and the baby.
I was never allergic to ANYTHING ever, until I received several RhoGAM shots. The serum alters your immune system, permanently, as well as your baby’s (if you have a shot before giving birth).
It’s been downhill for me ever since I was RhoGAMMED. Anyone else?

A few years ago the doctor gave my son a flu shot.
That night he awoke with horrible night terrors which then lasted nightly for 6 months. A
He has not had a flu shot since and has not had any night terrors since.

There is a very good book called “The Vaccine Book” written by Dr. Robert Sears, renowned pediatrician. It provides a lot of good information about what is really in vaccines. Mothers, please read this book and be informed before deciding about vaccines. I felt ill after reading about vaccines my child has already received.

First of all, thanks for your work! My two year old son has nut, egg, dairy, seeds, and wheat allergy. I have read over fifty health, diet, and medical texts searching for answers. Also, my son completed one week of testing at National Jewish Hospital in Denver.
My son was normal until his eighth month. I did not immunize him until I had a scare with a serious infection, then I gave in. I believe that in addition to the shots, the antibiotic shot of pennicillin was also responsible for his severe allergies. He received two more rounds of antibiotics before he was one and voila- he was destroyed. I fed him wheat teething biscuits at nine months- rash all over, then eggs rash, cheese rash. It wasn’t till his second round that the anaphylaxis began. I fed my son spelt bread in lieu of wheat and that was a potentially fatal mistake. If it wasn’t for our great local
ambulance and epinephrine he may not have made it. The other major aniphylactic reaction was to mozzarella cheese. He swelled like the incredible hulk. This was also potentially fatal. He was given a high dose of prednisone to my horror. the doctors say it’s safe but I do not think an infant can process all of these drugs safely.
I believe that the animal tissue, the gelatin and the egg, and chemicals and antibiotics that are put into the vaccines are not safe to shoot into infants immature immune system. I believe that we must stop this craziness. My doctors say that the diseases that we are immunizing against are awful but so are the diseases we are creating with modern vaccines and antibiotics.
I believe in antibiotics for severe infections, but not for minor ear infections.
Antibiotics are being distributed like candy.
Also, I believe the link to Asthma, ADD and Autism is also these vaccines.
I wish that I had done my homework before the vaccines but my other two children fared well during the process so I was not worried. Now I am like you Robyn, I know that this is happening, I can see it and doctors try to negate my theory as just that a theory. why don’t we have scientists studying the adverse effects of these vaccines? How can we prove these theories? I will be searching for local doctors to affirm what we know is the truth, and I am dedicating my life to the pursuit of the truth about vaccines and antibiotics for small children.
I forgot one more thing, I believe that the metal in old dental work -pre 1985 is also harmful and I am trying to figure out how I can afford to have this metal removed. I know that there are spelling mistakes in my blog but my children need attention so I don’t have the time to look up the mistakes.

An acquaintance who has been involved in vaccine research most of his adult life was disappointed when, at one of his first managers’ meetings, discovered that the real reason for most of the vaccines in the U.S. today is tied to ‘economic’ logic and the big money making machine within our country. This is how it goes: if dad works and mom stays home, mom can take care of any of the children that get sick – but what happens when/if mom gets sick? then dad has to help mom &/or any children that may be sick. But…who is doing dad’s work then? and so goes the domino logic and I’m sure everyone gets the picture. I have known about the risks of vaccines from things I’ve read and friends that have had mishaps (though their doctors refused to admit the correlation & report it to the CDC) but I never understood the “why?” part of the vaccine push until the economic explanation was offered from a first hand researcher.

Jennifer on 1/15/08 talked about the link she saw between the flu vaccine and her son’s night terrors. FINALLY! I was finally talked into the flu vaccine for my 2 year old last year after my husband and I had the stomach flu (nobody told me the flu shot didn’t cover stomach flu). Within 4 days she started having temper tantrums that would last 1-2 hours, usually ending in her falling asleep from pure exhaustion. After 6 months and lots of probiotics to clean out her system, she finally is back to normal. The doctor just scoffed at me when I told her about this saying “she’s 2″. Yes, she does have temper tantrums, but their is a HUGE difference between a temper tantrum and what we have come to call the exorcisim type of temper tantrum in our house.
I have also seen a correlation between cough syrup and her behavior.

i have made the decision not to continue vaccinating my children. how will NY handle that? there is a bill in my state senate RIGHT NOW that will mandate untested vaccines for 7th grade girls. why does it have to be such a battle. what happened to freedom of choice? i am dreading my son’s 4 y/o checkup this week. i am telling the doctor no shots. no i am the bad guy. go figure.

I just wanted to share my experience with the MMR vaccine. When my 3rd child was 2 (I put it off as long as I could) he received the MMR vaccine. I staggered his vaccines because I didn’t want to overload his system. Within 7 days of receiving the MMR vaccine he came down with the measles and then the mumps. He was a very sick boy for about two weeks. I called the dr. and they point blank told me that all I could do was give him tylenol. I am not one who gives tylenol freely and when I did give it to him it did not help his symptoms. His head hurt so bad he could not lift it up and is joints hurt to walk. He will not receive the MMR booster shot and I have yet to allow the Dr. to give him the Hep. shot.
I do have may concerns about the amount of vaccines they give children. My advice to parents is read everything you can and stagger your shots so if you child has a reaction you can pinpoint the shot that caused him/her to get sick.

I cannot believe what I am reading!! I must have been living under a rock for the last eight years, because this is all new info to me! I have four children, 7,5,4, and 11 months. I am so afraid to get my daughter her one year vaccinations. My five year old has a 6 month delay in his learning due to a speech delay he was diagnoised with at 18 months. Makes me wonder if his shots had anything to do with this? He also is emotionally behind other kids. They had thought he was borderline autistic, and I refused to believe that. I can’t believe what I am reading. I have lived in a bubble for far too long. My four old recently had three shots. When I did her yearly bloodwork it showed she has some allergies. So I took her took the allergist and tested it further. Some of her allergies on the blood test were diferent from the scratch test. But the thing that has me puzzled is she was never allergic before these shots. She is highly allergic to tree nuts, some trees, ragweed, weeds, pollen, and leaves. I to staggered these shots. When she was two I had gotten her the flu shot she went from a calm little girl to psycho temper tantrums and she is still like that today. It’s very draining on me. When they last from twenty minutes to hour and a half long. Sometimes two to three a day.
I also have a two and half yr old that went from a sweet and calm little girl to wild child. She swings from my drapes and swan dives off of my furniture. She doesn’t sit still. I’ve tried everything. And doctor says she’s just hyper. This is not normal. Both of my girls have turned in lunatics. I definitely noticed a change after their shots. They both suffer from acid reflux and stomach problems. They were both on soy formula also. I also monitor everything they eat and drink. I now changed the way we eat. I juice some fresh fruits and vegetables, give yummi bear vitamins that are gluten free, no sugar etc…(vitamin shop), probotics for kids {keep in refrig}they help with the immune system. I want to flush out their systems and get rid of the toxins.
Has anyone else found the same symptoms please post.

When something doesn’t make sense, start asking questions. Just look at the ingredients in vaccines. There is not one healthy ingredient. They are like a witches brew. Of course they are dangerous. We must protect our children from these vaccines. It should make one shudder and fear for their children. Who trusts the government to protect our children? You should question the alliance between government and vaccine manufacturers. My youngest child received a few vaccines before I realized what they really were.
He was injured recently and was jabbed with a tetanus vaccine without his consent. He is 21 and was away from home at the time and not aware of what they were going to do. Since he has received this shot he has been in so much pain. He is going to try and cleanse his body from these toxins.
My five other children are vaccine free and very healthy with no allergies or sicknesses. Everyone should be aware that government or medical doctors have no right to inject anything into our bodies or our children’s bodies without our consent.This is an evil. It’s weird that you get a bad reaction from Dr.’s
because you do not want to inject poisons into their bloodstreams. Not much makes sense anymore.

Wow, do I understand the feelings you are going through! My only daughter developed body-covering hives after her MMR at 12 months and I thought she had measles. The doctor said it was a reaction to the MMR, but hesitated to note it as such because the booster would not be given at 5. Well, he record is going to be changed at my request.
My once bright, engaging, happy child began a 2 year battle with language delay and rashes/hives that had my constantly on edge. When she started covering her ears screaming “Loud, loud” at things like the car defrost, I knew something was wrong and refused to let anyone tell me there wasn’t. When this began, she was 2-1/2 y/o and said less than 50 words. She did not point to things. She did not verbal engage anyone without prompting. She played alone, etc, etc. She looked autistic. I did not recognize this until I had testing started. An that is when autism came up. Thank the lord I took her to a specialist on Autism who noticed during her routine physical exam portion that my child’s skin was horribly rough. I sarcastically laughed when questioned and said I knew it was keratosis Pilaris, but had just been to a internal medicine doc who specialized in dermatology and was told AGAIN that she had dry skin,despite me telling that doctor that she would get patches that she would scratch raw. The only thing that clear it was steroids, and that is NOT a long term solution. My specialist asked me to take her to a pediatric allergist, and when my daughter walked in, he knew before testing her. My daughter’s allergies manifest in her skin. So far, she is horribly allergic (when exposed, will developed rash, hives, welts, etc) to pollen, trees, cats, dogs, pasture grass, and dust mites. She is on 2 allergy meds now, and her vocab probably jumped from 50 words to 500. This just happened in July 2008, and I bet she says even more than that now. She no longer seems autistic at all. Everyone we know is amazed at how different she is. It is a shocking turn around.
Amazing that my child could have such severe allergies that she presented looking very much like she had autism. I’m just waiting for the school to get involved when I refuse to further vaccinate my daughter. Almost feel sorry for them, but I will not put anything further into my child in the “hopes” she won’t get sick. Our allergist has already told us due to the severity of my daughter’s allergies, she should be on shots from the age of 6. I am furious that this has happened to my daughter, and equally as relieved and happy that she is getting better.
My best friend is a Special Education Coordinator. She knew of the dangers of some of the vaccines as well, and told me that in the 80’s, a fund was set up by our government to pay out to families in the event that a vaccine caused ill effects, and that to date, either 50 or 75 cents of EVERY vaccine is put into that fund. I do not have a website or more info on this, and must get back to work, but if anyone knows anything about this, can you please post links here. Makes ya wonder why THAT fund would be needed, don’t you think?

I was promted to do some research this morning after wondering if the flu shot could have any connection to night terrors. My son received his flu shot a week and a half ago. We were told he may experience a delayed fever – which he did get. And, ever since, he is waking up in the middle of the night screaming and crying uncontrollably. We are supposed to return to the doctor’s office for a follow up flu shot and now I am quite hesitant. Happy to see a few posts with similar comments. Would love to know from those moms if the night terrors subsided after a particular period of time… and if they feel there was anything in partucular that helped.

My daughter recieved her 12 month shots about 2 weeks ago…ever since she has had extreme temper tantrums and night terrors, my once happy little angel has turn into godzilla and I most deffinately blame the shots…way too much of a coincidence!!
